Five Easy Organizing Tips

-
Start in an area to which
you are the least emotionally attached. This allows you to
remove things easily
(and remember The One Year Rule!). If you haven’t worn it,
used it or looked at it in the past year, get rid of it.
-
Before you can organize you may need to
downsize by sorting your belongings into 3 piles: Keep / Sell / Toss.
-
Organize a little bit each day by
setting aside 15 minutes at the end of your day to tidy up your work / play
area.
-
If you just can’t bear
the thought of getting rid of your most treasured items, you
can house them in appropriate storage containers and / or
photograph them so that you can preserve your memories.
-
Before you buy anything ask yourself; Do
I need this? Where will I put it? Is there space for it? Do I already have it
but just can’t find it? This will help you to avoid making unnecessary /
duplicate purchases. REMEMBER - when you bring something new into your home,
remove something old.
